A well-known golfer by the name of Karsten Solheim was having problems with his putting game and decided to create his own putter. He designed and engineered a great putter with the heel to toe weight theory in mind. He was so impressed with the sound he heard when he hit the ball the he named it Ping, thus the name of the company that produces these excellent golf clubs.

Today, the PING Golf Corporation makes a full line of premier golf clubs and a host other golf improvement products. PING continues to operate as a family owned company. Their products are sold worldwide in over 70 countries. Today, golf professionals frequently use PING golf clubs in tournament play.

Considered a musical golf club, Sports Illustrated talked about Ping golf clubs and helped sales skyrocket into becoming a popular golf club around the world. The putters are found everywhere, and believe me when I say, everyone wants one. I have first hand experience that this is the best club and some will go to the ends of the earth to find a Ping golf club.

Soon, Ping golf clubs were a regular fixture on the PGA tournaments. When the pro golfers toured in other countries, they brought along their different designs of Ping golf clubs and turned it into an international name.

Although many designs of the Ping golf clubs were very popular among golfers, only the Anser is acceptable to the USGA because of tournament rules. But even though it is the only member of the Ping golf club family that is approved by the USGA, it has been responsible for bringing many victories to a lot of pro golfers for many years now.
