Managing Gestational Diabetes

Diabetes and pregnancy is best controlled by controlling the amount of glucose in the blood. Extremely high levels of glucose and gestational diabetes can cause a high risk pregnancy, so be sure to eat the diet of a diabetic person with enough food to sustain you and your child—this is no time for a skimpy diet.

Also, if you are pregnant and diabetic you should make sure that you exercise on a regular basis. Of course, it is important to stay away from anything strenuous but walking is a good way to stay in shape and can keep diabetes and pregnancy in check.
